A weekly review should not become another performance ritual. Its job is to make the next week easier to navigate.
Try answering these five questions in ten minutes:
- What moved because I made a clear decision?
- What stayed stuck because I avoided one?
- Which customer, teammate, or founder gave me a signal I should not ignore?
- What work created momentum, and what work only created motion?
- What is the one thing I want to make obvious by next Friday?
Keep the evidence
Write down the numbers, quotes, and links that support your answers. Memory is a poor operating system, especially after a difficult week. A lightweight record helps you spot patterns across a quarter instead of reacting to whichever conversation happened most recently.
Share one useful line
You do not need to publish the whole review. One honest line is enough: what shipped, what is blocked, or what kind of help would change the outcome. That small signal gives your network a chance to be useful.
The point of a review is not to feel caught up. It is to leave with a sharper next move.
