How to find the right founders on Venet

July 15, 2026 · by the Venet team

The best connection is rarely the person with the biggest audience. It is the person who has enough relevant context to help with the decision in front of you.

Search by the problem

Look for founders who have faced a similar customer, hiring, distribution, or fundraising problem. Shared constraints are often more useful than shared job titles.

Read before you reach out

Review the person’s profile and recent activity. Mention the specific context that made you reach out. “I saw that you recently moved upmarket” is more respectful than a generic message.

Make the first conversation small

Ask for 15 minutes, one answer, or feedback on one decision. Give the person an easy way to decline. A low-pressure first exchange gives both sides room to decide whether a deeper conversation makes sense.

Be useful in return

You do not need to offer a grand favour. Share a relevant example, introduce someone carefully, or report back on what happened. Trust grows through small, specific follow-through.
