Venet works as an installable app on every platform — no app store required — and its notification system is designed to inform without flooding.
Installing the app
Venet is a progressive web app (PWA):
- iPhone/iPad — open venet.bluethenics.com in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen
- Android — open in Chrome → menu → Install app (or tap the install banner)
- Desktop — click the install icon in the address bar in Chrome or Edge
Installed, Venet launches full-screen with its own icon — indistinguishable from a native app.
The notification bell
The bell in the top bar collects everything relevant to you: new messages, connection requests, meeting requests and confirmations, event reminders, replies to your posts, and intro suggestions. Everything is also delivered by email when you're away.
What arrives when
- Chat messages — notified at most every 10 minutes per conversation, emailed at most hourly, so active chats never spam you. Messages sent with
/impbypass throttles. - Meeting requests and confirmations — immediately
- Meeting reminders — 30 minutes before start, both participants
- Event reminders — the day before, and again an hour before
- Community replies — when someone answers your ask or win
Tuning it
Settings lets you control in-app notifications and email preferences, including opting out of chat emails or digest emails while keeping the bell. The system's rule of thumb: urgent things interrupt, everything else batches.
One habit worth building
Open Venet once a day, post one check-in line, and clear your bell. Ten minutes daily keeps your streak alive, your network warm, and your inbox calm.
